We founded A4 Homes in 2019 after a decade of dreaming of creating our own construction company, but our story began years earlier in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We met through mutual friends and, at the time, Chris was working on a framing crew building the world’s largest log home and Kate was headed off to college.
Now, seventeen years later, we find ourselves happily married, raising our two beautiful daughters, Amelia and Madison, and enjoying everything the Bay Area has to offer. A4 Homes is a statement of our family (quite literally the “Adams Four”). The four of us are stronger together and offer each other the motivation and ambition to do great things. We love living our dream of being custom home builders by helping families create the home of their dreams.
Because our family is our number-one priority, we pride ourselves in creating spaces where families are able to thrive. We are fortunate to be able to work together building custom homes, and we’d love to work with you too!

Chris - Owner & Project Manager
Chris carries on the family tradition of being a hard worker and having an honest work ethic. His passion for building stems from listening to stories from his grandfather building his house for his family with his bare hands. He was always told that working in the trades would never be dull or boring and that every day will present a new challenge.
Chris began his journey in custom home building over 20 years ago in Steamboat Springs, Colorado pushing brooms and cleaning up job sites. With the work ethic instilled in him by his grandfather, he worked his way up through the ranks of the construction industry learning the ins and outs of the building trades. It is because of the nature of his education that he understands the importance of bringing that hands-on building philosophy to each project from start to finish. His dedication, attention to detail, love of construction, and natural talent are apparent in all that he does. Chris strives to provide a product of the highest quality that will last for years to come.
In his free time, Chris enjoys mountain biking, riding dirt bikes, and spending quality time with his wife, Kate, and their two daughters Amelia and Madison.

Kate - Owner & Office Manager
Kate is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the A4 Homes office: monitoring and tracking job costs, managing accounts receivables and payables, process development, and making sure the team has everything they need to work effectively and efficiently. She works closely with our vendors and trade partners to ensure that the financial investment in our clients’ new home is a positive and stress-free experience.
Kate is adept at prioritizing, multitasking, and organizing company goals and initiatives. Prior to founding A4 Homes with Chris, she was an underwriter in the surplus lines sector of the insurance industry for ten years. Her background in risk management and attention to detail prove to be a key asset to the business. Kate graduated from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado with a BS in Business Administration.
In her spare time, Kate can be found enjoying the outdoors, gardening, horseback riding, or baking something in the kitchen with Amelia and Madison.
Brian - Superintendent
Brian has been an integral part of A4 Homes since 2021, demonstrating exceptional project management skills. As a project manager, he collaborates closely with Chris in assembling and hiring the project team and skillfully negotiating with subcontractors during the bidding process. As superintendent, he oversees multiple projects simultaneously, orchestrating a seamless blend of efficiency and quality. His ability to navigate complex construction challenges while maintaining a focus on project timelines and budgetary constraints is a testament to his project management expertise. His open communication style ensures that all stakeholders, from subcontractors to clients, are informed and engaged throughout the construction process. Brian’s unwavering commitment to excellence is at the heart of A4 Homes’ reputation for delivering exceptional luxury homes.
Julia - Assistant Office Coordinator
Julia serves as the Assistant Office Coordinator at A4 Homes, providing critical support across the entire organization. With a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Marketing from the University of Boulder, she plays a key role in managing subcontractor contractual requirements, insurance compliance, and business licenses. Julia’s background in marketing, along with her previous experience as a Social Media Marketing Manager, greatly enhances her contributions to the management of A4 Homes’ website and social media platforms.
Rob - Superintendent
Robbie joined A4 Homes in April 2023, and his seasoned experience has made an immediate impact. In his dual capacity as construction manager and superintendent, Robbie excels in the proficient management and oversight of construction projects. He places a high priority on safety, and he diligently adheres to schedules while ensuring that projects align precisely with established plans. Robbie also ensures that all subcontractors meet the elevated standards set by A4 Homes. Robbie’s exceptional communication skills come to the forefront when addressing challenges or changes during construction. His proactive and transparent approach facilitates swift problem resolution, minimizing disruptions and maintaining the project’s trajectory. Robbie’s commitment to quality and efficiency underscores his invaluable contribution to the team and aligns effortlessly with A4 Homes’ core values.
